How These Prices Compare to Apple and the Chains

Apple (out of warranty): current-generation screens run $279 for the iPhone 16 up to $379 for the 16 Pro Max, with the 15 Pro Max at $329. Genuine panels, but you'll need a Genius Bar appointment or a multi-day mail-in — and on older models the gap widens dramatically: Apple's fee doesn't drop nearly as fast as our $119–149 pricing on the 12 and 13 series.

AppleCare+ holders: your accidental-damage deductible is $29. Use it at Apple — nothing on this page beats that, and we'll tell you the same in person.

uBreakiFix by Asurion: their OLED Select (quality aftermarket) tier runs roughly $180–238 on 15-series phones — consistently $10–30 above our equivalents — while their OEM tier climbs to $399.99–499.99 on 16-series models, above Apple's own prices. CPR and similar chains advertise iPhone screens "from $89," which applies to older models with lower-grade aftermarket panels; comparable quality tiers land above our table.

Our pricing philosophy is a single honest tier: OEM-quality OLED panels at 5–10% under uBreakiFix's equivalent, and well under Apple, with no good-better-best upsell at the counter.

Why Screen Prices Fall Where They Do

Three factors explain the whole table:

  1. Panel technology. Pro models use LTPO ProMotion panels (120Hz, always-on display) that cost more than the 60Hz panels in standard models. That's the entire $249-vs-$299 gap between the 16 and 16 Pro.
  2. Size. Pro Max and Plus panels are simply more glass and more OLED, adding $20–30 over their smaller siblings.
  3. Age. Panel prices drop as models mature and the parts market deepens. A 12-series panel costs a fraction of a 16-series one — which is why fixing an iPhone 12 at $119 costs about a third of fixing a 16 Pro Max.

Repair or Upgrade? A Rule of Thumb by Generation

  • iPhone 14–16 (any variant): repair, almost always. These phones have years of iOS updates ahead, and even the priciest repair ($329) is a fraction of replacement cost.
  • iPhone 13 series: repair still wins comfortably at $129–149 — the 13 remains a fast, supported phone.
  • iPhone 12 series: worth a moment's thought. At $119–139 the repair is cheap, but weigh the battery's condition too. If the screen and battery are both tired, get the free diagnostic and a combined quote; the total often still beats any replacement phone worth owning.

Cracked screens also sabotage trade-ins: buyback services routinely deduct $150–300 for screen damage, which usually exceeds the repair price — fixing before trading in tends to pay for itself.

What Every Repair Includes

The process is identical across every model on the table:

  1. Free diagnostic (~5 min). Confirm the screen is the problem; check the frame, battery, and moisture indicators while we're in there.
  2. Approved quote. The table price, agreed before we open the phone.
  3. Panel replacement (~20–35 min). Front camera and Face ID hardware transfer to the new screen — Face ID keeps working on every model we service.
  4. Verification with you. Touch grid, True Tone, Face ID, earpiece — you watch it pass before you pay.

Your data is never touched by a screen repair, and after any non-Apple repair iOS shows a harmless "Unknown Part" informational note in Settings — it limits nothing.

Beyond the Screen

Screen damage rarely travels alone. While the phone is open, common add-ons share the labor: batteries run $69–109 across these models (see the iPhone 16, iPhone 15, and iPhone 14 battery guides), and cracked back glass or a flaky charging port can ride along in the same visit. If the phone took a swim before it cracked, start with the water damage guide instead. Samsung owner? There's a full Galaxy price table too.

Nine Stores, One Price Table

These prices are identical at every iFixForU location — Monterey Park, Arcadia (Baldwin Ave), and Las Vegas among them. Walk in any day or book online to skip the queue, and browse all eight repair categories on the services page.

FAQ

Which iPhone is cheapest to fix, and which is most expensive?

The iPhone 12 is the least expensive screen on our current menu at $119; the iPhone 16 Pro Max tops the table at $329. The spread tracks panel cost almost exactly.

Do you use original Apple screens?

We install OEM-quality OLED assemblies matched to each model's resolution, brightness, and color spec — the same single quality tier across all models, backed by the 90-day warranty. Genuine Apple-branded panels are only available through Apple itself.

Will Face ID still work after the repair?

Yes, on every model. Your original TrueDepth hardware transfers to the new screen, and we test Face ID with you at pickup.

My model isn't in the table — do you still fix it?

Almost certainly. The table covers iPhone 12 through 16; older models and new releases are quoted at the free diagnostic in about five minutes.
